God intended life to be joyful for His creation. But in our broken world, life sometimes feels more like a burden. Unforeseen tragedies, immoveable obstacles, and daily stresses can take the joy out of life and turn us bitter. How should we women, who carry so much of our families’ cares on our shoulders, respond when we are hit with one stress after another? And how in the world can we find rest in the Lord and His Word when we have so many other things to worry about? There are two women in Scripture with whom we can relate: Naomi and Ruth. During our retreat, we will dive deep into the Scriptures to see what they can teach us about how to breathe despite the suffocating burdens of life.

Bio:

Rebecca Hasegawa has loved the Lord her entire life. She became the English professor at Boise Bible College in 2014 after one year in Hollywood and twenty-three years in Florida. She felt called to be a professor during her junior year at Florida Christian College, but she initially decided to pursue a career in the entertainment industry for evangelistic purposes. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Humanities. She is newly married to David Hasegawa. They love spending time outdoors and cuddling in front of a good movie. They plan to live in Boise as long as the Lord will have them.


Activities

Registration starts on Friday at 5:00 pm and camp ends around 10:00 am on Sunday. Fundraiser raffle for Grove Christian Camp, yoga session, pajama contest, and DIY pedicure, manicure, and facial will be offered.
